Our Fireside Chat guest is Lisa Federici, founder and CEO of Scansite, a pioneer and leader in 3D scanning and printing, based in San Rafael. Scansite 3D has provided high quality 3D scanning since before the Internet, based in Marin! Their dedication to evolving and staying abreast of the technology and the industry has allowed them to forge many long term and successful working relationships with companies like Boeing, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NASA, Richard MacDonald Studio, NIKE, Hyundai, Warner Bros, and the Smithsonian. Lisa has been at the helm of Scansite, her second start-up, since 1994 and has helped guide the company to its success today. Lisa was named one of the Top Women in 3D Printing on International Women's Day in 2017. Early in her career, she used to teach scanning and reverse engineering seminars for the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and was often the only woman in the room.
